Days in Colours

Do you ever think about what colour your day would be, if it were a colour?
I was reading a journal entry I wrote a few weeks ago and my mind got caught on these few lines,
"There's a lot going on and if I had to describe my day as a colour it would be periwinkle blue. It's beautiful, bright, and calm but it's still a shade of blue."

Sometime's it seems like you can get stuck in a certain colour. Like a good summer can seem fresh and ablaze but a bad few days make you feel trapped on grey scale.

What colour would you categorize your day as? I hope it's something bright and lovely.

(I took the above pictures in Niagara Falls, Ontario).

Constants

Monday mornings are quiet in this house. Everyone is gone by ten. This is something I can rely on every week, it's a constant part of this time in our lives.

Small reoccurring things that we do everyday shape us more than we think. When I look back at other times in my life constants seem to be the most defining. Like that summer when I took the same bus route to my friends house every night. I can't remember anything as clearly as the way the bus felt like it was floating when it turned corners. A summer of riding buses. A year of quiet mornings.

Sometime's I wonder what the constants are in other people's lives. These practices become so routine, but maybe we need them. It seems like they bring stability to our lives in a way.

What are the constants in your life?
